What is the idea behind SoSUE?
Only one online shop was not enough for me and only one blog was not enough for me, either. I wanted to do both. Here, two hearts pound in one chest: on one side there’s the curious journalist and on the other side is the creative fashion business woman. It was important to me that if we were to report on beautiful things, readers should also have the opportunity to buy it right away. And I quickly discovered that our stories inspired me for our own fashion ideas. So, we started to create our own brand.
What inspires you?
Running around the Alster in Hamburg, sitting in cafes, watching movies and people on the street, as well as my kids and traveling.
What was your first job?
I think working as an intern in a publishing house. My first job earning a little money was babysitting and later working as a hostess at fares.
Who would you love to work with?
Oh, there are a lot of personalities I'd like to work with. ABBA have just recorded new songs and if they make a video, I would like to equip it.
When was the last time you were really nervous?
Honestly, when I got my divorce date I was very nervous.
What is the last thing you do before going to bed?
To come down and end the day? Well, I list three things that made me happy during the day. They don’t have to be great, most of them are little things that make me fall asleep happily. And with 3 kids, sometimes it doesn’t need much to fall asleep asap.
What’s in your fridge?
Champagne, a good steak and ice cream.
Where do you eat in Berlin?
I love a lot of Berlin’s Asian places. There are just so many of them. And I like the Paris Bar, Café Florian and during Fashion Week, a visit at Borchardt’s is a must!
Why can’t it just be magic all the time?
Because real life always comes between us.
